Cassianoides kingorum
Taxonomy
Cassianoides kingorum was named by Newell and Boyd (1995). Its type specimen is AMNH 43405, a valve (Left valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is AMNH512, Guadalupe Pass, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Cassianoides.
