Fransonia wyomingensis
Taxonomy
Fransonia wyomingensis was named by Newell and Boyd (1995). Its type specimen is AMNH 44036, a valve (Left valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM703c, Old Word Ranch, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian slope limestone in the Road Canyon Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Fransonia.
