Urasterella ruthveni

Taxonomy
Uraster ruthveni was named by Forbes (1848). Its type specimen is Holotype MSM A5497 and is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Urasterella.

It was recombined as Palaeaster ruthveni by Salter (1857) and Wright (1863); it was recombined as Urasterella ruthveni by McCoy (1851), Schuchert (1914), Schuchert (1915), Spencer (1918), Owen (1965), Blake and Rozhnov (2007), Lewis et al. (2007), Blake (2018) and Blake and Koniecki (2020).
