Xestotrema pulchrum
Taxonomy
Spirifera pulchra was named by Meek (1860). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pass east of Ruby Valley, which is in a Guadalupian carbonate limestone in Nevada.
It was recombined as Spirifer (Spiriferina) pulcher by Meek (1876); it was recombined as Spiriferina pulchra by Meek (1877); it was recombined as Punctospirifer pulchra by Miller and Cline (1934); it was recombined as Punctospirifer pulcher by Gordon and Merriam (1961); it was recombined as Xestotrema pulchrum by Cooper and Grant (1969), Cooper and Grant (1976) and Wardlaw (1977).
