Scenesia extensa

Taxonomy
Scenesia extensa was named by Cooper and Grant (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 153175a, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM708u, Split Tank, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian marine limestone in the Cathedral Mountain Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Scenesia.
