Taxonomy
Rhombopora kawabei was named by Sakagami (1995) [Type at Dept. of Earth Sciences, Chiba University]. Its type specimen is DESC-95113 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ancoraimes Section An38, which is in an Artinskian carbonate limestone in the Copacabana Formation of Bolivia.
