Taxonomy
Lima footei was named by Waagen (1881). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Chidru, topmost Productus Limestone, Salt Range, which is in a Changhsingian coastal sandstone in the Chhidru Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Palaeolima footei by Termier and Termier (1970).
