Crenispirifer alpheus
Taxonomy
Spiriferina alpha was named by Huang (1933). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ts'ingyen, Locality T306, Wanch'ang, Kueiyang-hsien, which is in a Wuchiapingian marine horizon in China.
It was recombined as Punctospirifer alpheus by Tong (1978), Liao (1980), Wang et al. (1982), Liao (1987) and Liang (1990); it was recombined as Crenispirifer alpheus by Shen et al. (2002), Campi et al. (2005), Shen and Zhang (2008) and Shen and Clapham (2009); it was recombined as Paraspiriferina alpha by Xu and Grant (1994) and Chen (2009).
