Taxonomy
Anteridocus paucicostatus was named by Cooper and Grant (1976). Its type specimen is USNM 154723b, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM707h, Skinner Ranch Fm. (Poplar Tank Mb.?), Lenox Hills, Glass Mountains, which is in an Artinskian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Skinner Ranch Formation of Texas.
