Taeniaster spinosus

Taxonomy
Palaeocoma spinosa was named by Billings (1857). Its type specimen is Lectotype 1404, Victoria Memorial Museum, Ottawa and is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Taeniaster.

It was recombined as Taeniaster spinosus by Billings (1858), Miller (1889), Schuchert (1915), Spencer (1934) and Owen (1965).
