Taxonomy
Nautilus landanensis was named by Vincent (1913) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; West Africa.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Cimomia landanensis by Miller (1935), Miller (1951) and Miller and Carpenter (1956).

Synonyms
  • Cimomia vincenti was named by Miller (1935) [DISTRIBUTION: Paleocene; West Africa.]. Its type specimen is SUI 715, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Cimomia landanensis by Miller (1951).
