Taxonomy
Guadalupia alveolaris was named by Parona (1933). It is the type species of Pseudoguadalupia.

It was recombined as Pseudoguadalupia alveolaris by Termier and Termier (1977) and Senowbari-Daryan and Rigby (1988).
