Euphemites regulatus
Taxonomy
Euphemites regulatus was named by Moore (1941). Its type specimen is KU 32692, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is US Highway 40, 9.4 miles west of Lawrence, 3 miles south of Lecompton, which is in a Virgilian carbonate limestone in the Deer Creek Formation of Kansas.
