Trachyspira canaliculata
Taxonomy
Platycheilus canaliculatus was named by Gemmellaro (1889). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pietra di Salomone, calcare grossolano, Sosio, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in Italy. It is the type species of Platycheilus, Sosiospira.
It was recombined as Sosiospira canaliculata by Knight (1937); it was recombined as Trachyspira canaliculata by Termier and Termier (1977).
