Taxonomy
Pteroplecta sulcata was named by Waterhouse (1983). Its type specimen is UQF 73638, a valve (Ventral valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UQ L4807, Manang District, which is in a Changhsingian marine siliciclastic in the Senja Formation of Nepal.
