Taxonomy
Alveolites pseudorbicularis was named by Iven (1980). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Eikamp, Bergisch-Gladbach, which is in a Givetian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Torringen Formation of Germany.
