Herrickiceras costatus

Taxonomy
Placenticeras costatum was named by Herrick and Johnson (1900). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Herrickiceras.

It was recombined as Herrickiceras costatum by Cobban and Hook (1980); it was recombined as Herrickiceras costatus by Kennedy and Simmons (1991).
