Taxonomy
Spinomarginifera costata was named by Kotlyar (1978). Its type specimen is TsNIGR 64/11539 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barabashevka River, Middle Chandalaz, Primorye, which is in a Capitanian marine horizon in the Chandalaz Formation of the Russian Federation.
