Ammonites tridorsatus was named by Schlüter (1867) [DISTRIBUTION: Coniacian; Cosmopolitan.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Peroniceras (Peroniceras) tridorsatum by Kennedy (1984), Klinger and Kennedy (1984), Kennedy and Christensen (1991), Kennedy (1995) and Ifrim et al. (2011).
