Taxonomy
Streptorhynchus operculatus was named by Waagen (1884). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bazarwan, Middle Productus-limestone, Salt Range (Oldham coll), which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in the Wargal Formation of Pakistan.
