Ptychoceras teschenense was named by Uhlig (1902) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Cretaceous.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Euptychoceras teschenense by Avram and Gradinaru (1993) and Klein et al. (2007).
