Mesomorpha vaughani
Taxonomy
Centrastrea vaughani was named by Wells (1932). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Spring Branch-Cranes Mill region, Comal County, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Glen Rose Limestone Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Thamnasteria vaughani by Wells (1943) and Baron-Szabo (2002); it was recombined as Mesomorpha vaughani by Tomás et al. (2008).
