Taxonomy
Hamites arculus was named by Morton (1834) [DISTRIBUTION: Santonian; North America, Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Boehmoceras arculus by Kennedy and Christennsen (1993) and Kennedy (1995).
