Gaudryceras subsacya was named by Marshall (1926) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; New Zealand, South Africa.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Anagaudryceras subsacya by Henderson (1970), Kennedy et al. (1973) and Kennedy and Klinger (1979).
