Baculites pseudovatus was named by Elias (1933) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Western Interior.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wallace County, Upper Weskan Member, which is in a Campanian offshore shale/limestone in the Pierre Shale Formation of Kansas.
