Taxonomy
Crania permica was named by Kalashnikov (1993). Its type specimen is KNTs UrO PAN 279/22 and is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Belaya River, Outcrop 62a, Northern Timan Mountains, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
