Taxonomy
Ammonites inaequalicostatus was named by d'Orbigny (1840). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Eulytoceras.

It was recombined as Eulytoceras inaequalicostatus by Wright et al. (1996) and Landra et al. (2000).
