Lytoceras anisoptychum was named by Uhlig (1883) [DISTRIBUTION: Aptian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Eulytoceras anisoptychum by Cecca et al. (1998) and Landra et al. (2000).
