Taxonomy
Rhombotrypella summa was named by Morozova (1970). Its type specimen is PIN 1692/106 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dolgoshchel'ye Village, Kuloy River, Arkhangel Region, which is in a Roadian marine horizon in the Kazan Formation of the Russian Federation.
