Neostlingoceras carcitanensis

Taxonomy
Turrilites carcitanensis was named by Matheron (1842) [DISTRIBUTION: Cenomanian; Europe, central Asia, southern Africa.]. It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Neostlingoceras.

It was recombined as Hypoturrilites carcitanensis by Förster (1975); it was recombined as Neostlingoceras carcitanense by Atabekyan (1985); it was recombined as Neostlingoceras carcitanensis by Kennedy (1994).
