Taxonomy
Ammonites sulcatus was named by Kner (1848) [DISTRIBUTION: Maastrichtian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Hauericeras sulcatus by Kennedy and Summesberger (1987); it was recombined as Hauericeras sulcatum by Kennedy (1993) and Arkadiev et al. (2000).
