Taxonomy
Ancyloceras retrorsum was named by Schlüter (1872) [DISTRIBUTION: Campanian; Europe; central Asia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Neoglyptoxoceras retrorsum by Kennedy (1986) and Arkadiev et al. (2000); it was recombined as Glyptoxoceras retrorsum by Atabekyan and Khakimov (1976), Kennedy (1993) and Niebuhr et al. (2016).
