Taxonomy
Ammonites bhima was named by Stoliczka (1865). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Bhimaites.

It was recombined as Puzosia (Bhimaites) bhima by Wright and Kennedy (1984) and Gautam et al. (2019).
