Pachydiscus jacquoti was named by Seunes (1890) [DISTRIBUTION: Maastrichtian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pachydiscus (Pachydiscus) jacquoti by Kennedy (1986), Kennedy (1986), Ward and Kennedy (1993), Kennedy and Hancock (1993) and Salazar et al. (2010).
