Taxonomy
Orthothetina vediensis was named by Sokolskaja (1965). Its type specimen is PIN 2072/39, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Geranos Creek, Vedi River 2, Gnishik Horizon, which is in a Wordian marine limestone in the Gnishik Formation of Armenia.
