Abichites stoyanowi

Taxonomy
Kashmirites stoyanowi was named by Kiparisova (1947). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Araxes River canyon, bed 13, which is in a Changhsingian marine marl in the Ali Bashi Formation of Azerbaijan. It is the type species of Abichites.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paratirolites mojsisovicsi by Teichert and Kummel (1973); it was recombined as Abichites stoyanowi by Shevyrev (1965), Zheng (1981), Leonova (2002), Korn (2014), Korn and Ghaderi (2016) and Korn and Hairapetian (2021).
