Taxonomy
Kolymia angusta was named by Astaf'yeva (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 4150/48, a valve (Left valve), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Setan'ya Creek, Lower Menkechen subsuite, Southern Verkhoyan, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Menkechen Formation of the Russian Federation.
