Eubostrychoceras indopacificum was named by Matsumoto (1967). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Eubostrychoceras, Eubostrychoceras (Eubostrychoceras).

It was recombined as Eubostrychoceras (Eubostrychoceras) indopacificum by Kennedy et al. (2007).
