It was recombined as Astraeofungia barcenai by Löser (2006); it was recombined as Microsolena barcenai by Pandey et al. (2007); it was recombined as Morphastrea barcenai by Baron-Szabo (2009); it was recombined as Dimorpharaea barcenai by Gregory (1900) and Filkorn and Pantoja-Alor (2009).
