Olcostephanus (Polyptychites) gravesiformis was named by Pavlow (1892) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Greenland, Siberia.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Polyptychites (Euryptychites) gravesiformis by Alsen (2006).
