Taxonomy
Megaglossoceras was named by Miller et al. (1933) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 300].

It was assigned to Nautilida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ephippioceratidae by Hoare (1961), Teichert et al. (1964) and Leonova and Shchedukhin (2020).
