Taxonomy
Mikkwaphyllum cameroni was named by McLean and Pedder (1984). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Vermilion Falls, Peace River, which is in a Frasnian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Mikkwa Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Mikkwaphyllum.
