Thurmanniceras thurmanni

Taxonomy
Ammonites thurmanni was named by Pictet and Campiche (1860). It is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Thurmanniceras.

It was recombined as Thurmannia thurmanni by Sayn (1907); it was recombined as Thurmanniceras thurmanni by Hyatt (1900) and Klein (2005).
