Taxonomy
Batrachopodiscus curvus was named by Ellenberger (1970). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Likhoele tracksite (zone A/3), which is in a Carnian/Norian terrestrial sandstone in the Molteno Formation of Lesotho.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Klein and Lucas (2021).

P. Ellenberger 1972Les traces assez grandes montrent les 4 ou 5 doigts des pieds ou des mains à la pulpe digitale lisse, dépourvus d'ongles (ou griffes). Ces doigts s'appuient complètement ou seulement partiellement au sol, avec glissades tournoyantes.
- PES: Longueur du pied, 30 mm (du doigt I, 5 mm?; de II, 13 mm; de III, 18 mm; de IV, 22 mm; de V, 12 mm; projection de III en avant du bout des doigts latéraux, faible). Largeur du pied entre l'extrémité des doigts latéraux, 32 mm. Divarication totale I-V, 45 environ (I-II, 14°; II-III, 10°; III-IV, 10°; IV-V, 11° environ. Les coussinets de phalanges sont modérément visibles. L’arrière du pied est toujours invisible, le 11talon" aussi.
- MANUS: D'apparence à peu près semblable au pied.
- PISTE: Enjambée, 0,090 m? (Pas = 0,045 mm ?), Ped. angulatio, 45°? (variable), Manus angulatio: id?, Ecartement, 0,085 m: la démarche se fait donc comme pour des amphibiens à l'action (chasse, etc?) sur un sol glissant où ils dérapent.
