Eubrontes giganteus

Taxonomy
Ornithichnites giganteus was named by Hitchcock (1836). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is AC 45/8, 45/1, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ashael Lyman's, Northampton tracksite, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian lacustrine - small sandstone/mudstone in the Portland Formation of Massachusetts.
