Taxonomy
Haumuriaegla glaessneri was named by Feldmann (1984). Its type specimen is IGNS AR915 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS13193, Gore Bay Road (O33/f8047A), which is in a Maastrichtian marine sandstone in New Zealand. It is the type species of Haumuriaegla.
