Taxonomy
Permoteuthis groenlandica was named by Rosenkrantz (1946). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Clavering Ø, south coast, which is in a Wuchiapingian deep-water siliciclastic in Greenland. It is the type species of Permoteuthis.
