Taxonomy
Ammonites jaubertianus was named by d'Orbigny (1850). It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Jauberticeras jaubertianus by Renz (1982) and Wright et al. (1996); it was recombined as Jauberticeras jaubertianum by Murphy (1967) and Szives (2007).
