Taxonomy
Stutchburia hoskingae was named by Dickins (1963). Its type specimen is UWA 45405, a valve (Right valve), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Ridge, Irwin River Area, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Holmwood Formation of Australia.
