Taxonomy
Macrochilina winensis was named by Dickins (1963). Its type specimen is UWA 45455, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fossil Ridge, Irwin River Area, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Holmwood Formation of Australia.
